Do You Have A ? The Secret to Mental Agility

We all know to exercise our bodies to keep fit, but how often do you think about exercising your brain? And what type of exercise does it need anyway? What are the facts? What is the secret to mental agility?
Keeping mentally active will keep your brain in good shape. Getting older does not mean that you have to be forgetful!
Recent research into Alzheimer's disease found that people who were less active between the ages of 20 and 60 years are almost 4 times more likely to develop the disease. The brain, like the rest of the body, needs to be kept active to keep healthy.
You exercise your body to keep it in shape. Now it has been shown that exercising your brain can keep it in shape too.
That leaves us with the question of what to do to keep our brains active. The research discovered that how you spend your leisure time can affect the health of your brain.
Leisure activities can be divided into -
Passive activities, which include watching TV, participating in social activities, and listening to music.
Intellectual activities are reading, painting, playing a musical instrument, woodworking.
Physical activities, for example, gardening, playing sport, working out at the gym, walking, jogging.
The only 'activity' that the Alzheimer's patients had performed more frequently than the control group was watching TV!
The research team was lead by Robert Friedland, professor of neurology, University Hospitals of Cleveland. He said "A relative increase in the amount of time devoted to intellectual activities from early adulthood (ages 20-39) to mid-adulthood (ages 40-60) was associated with a significant decrease in the probability of having Alzheimer's disease later in life."
An intellectual or physical hobby stimulates the brain and may reduce neurodegeneration as seen in diseases such as Alzheimer's. So sitting watching the TV isn't enough for your brain, you need to keep it active. One way is by learning new things.
Many of the finalists in the Learning in Later Life Campaign 2000 to find England's oldest and most inspiring learners had art and painting as their hobby.
England's Oldest Learner was Fred Moore who was then aged 107 years. Fred continued with art classes until he died at the age of 109. The manager of his residential home said "Fred was a remarkable chap. He kept his memory, going back to the death of Queen Victoria, and always retained his great sense of humor."
So it's official then, learning a new hobby is good for you. Fancy learning to paint? Painting can be done indoors and outdoors, as well as by yourself or in a group.
It is never too late to start. Local night classes offer a range of options. Have a look online too.
Remember you can have a healthy brain and enjoy a hobby too. Don't leave it until tomorrow, begin today!

How to Look Younger With Skin Care Anti Wrinkle Cream

I bet you're frustrated over how your skin looks.
As you age and get to be 30, and then 40 and beyond, you notice your skin doesn't have the same glow. It doesn't feel as firm. So you start to buy skin care anti wrinkle cream and cosmetics.

But be careful not to get the two mixed up.

Professional anti aging creams should not feel greasy on your skin. When you apply them to your skin, they should be absorbed immediately. It shouldn't feel like a heavy coating on your skin. After you put on your anti wrinkle creams and lotions, then you can put on cosmetics.

If you use it consistently, you'll achieve fantastic results, assuming you buy an effective product.

Most cosmetics for younger skin, however, don't contain the powerful natural substances often found in specially formulated anti wrinkle creams. This is why you I recommend using separate products. For example, the one I've been using has an ingredient called Cynergy TK. You won't find this natural substance in many skin creams, let alone cosmetics. It's just been developed in New Zealand.

Cynergy TK, in clinical trials, has been shown to stimulate the regrowth of collagen and elastin in human skin. Collagen and elastin are the two skin proteins chiefly responsible for young, smooth, supple, skin.

When you're young, you don't have to think about things like collagen and elastin loss. You don't have to worry about age spots, wrinkles, and sagging skin either. But, face it, now you do.

Only anti aging skin care creams, not cosmetics advertised for "younger-looking skin", will contain the ingredients that improve skin tone and feel. Ingredients like Phytessence Wakame, which is an extract from Japanese sea kelp. Good luck finding that on a cosmetics label.

Wakame helps control inflammation (a big skin ager). It regulates the level of hyaluronic acid in the body. Hyaluronic acid, along with collagen and elastin, act like "glue", keeping skin smooth.

The Simple 3 Step Internet

I'm sure if you hear the word 'simple' one more time when it comes to internet marketing your going to scream.
Right?
Hey I don't blame you, after all it's the overall simplicity of it that reels us all in.
But it really is simple, the problems arise from confusion and flat out over-complicating the matter.
So I'm going to share with you 3 steps that you can follow to start moving in the direction of actually making money on the internet.
Now I have to warn you before I go ahead and share these steps with you because they are so simple, you might actually discount the same way I did at first.
Here goes...
Step 1
Find product to sell. Regardless of the niche you decide to enter, you will need a product to sell. You can create your own or promote someone else's product for a commission but you've got to sell something.
Step 2
Create a website. You're probably thinking why should I bother creating a website when I could just setup a simple redirect and skip that step altogether right?
Well if you don't know what a redirect is, it's a simple way to bypass the website creation process and send your visitor traffic directly to a merchants website.
It's actually very easy to do and you can start promoting your chosen affiliate offer right away, but...
You have absolutely no control over the sales process, no way to brand yourself in the marketplace and no way of interacting with the visitors you're sending to the merchants website.
So if 99% of the traffic you send to the affiliate offer doesn't buy, you have to rely on getting more and more traffic before you start to see any profitable returns.
Sounds like way too much work for me.
You're better off investing a couple of bucks into a domain that you can use to brand yourself with and setting up a lead capture system so that you can multiply your sales opportunities.
Step 3
Promote your website. I'm going to tell you something that will probably will make you laugh but wasn't that funny when it happened.
First of all it wasn't that funny when it happened because it happened to me. Although now it's funny as heck, but when I got my first website setup and ready to start making sales I thought that just because someone could type in my web address that would make me rich.
Yeah, pretty funny and pretty stupid right?
Did you know that the majority of people who frequent the internet looking for ways to make money online think the same way?
They seriously think that because their website exists online that somehow people will magically find it and they will get rich.
I'll tell you what... the day somebody creates that 'magic system', that person will become wealthy beyond their wildest dreams, but the truth is that it doesn't exist, even though some marketers will try to convince you that it does.
The bottom line is this...
You have to actively position your website where the people in your market or niche are most likely to find it before you can start making sales.
This will take a little detective work for you but not much because you can simply Google the keyword that best describes what your website is about to find out where the traffic is.
You can also visit forums or use paid traffic sources like ezines a.k.a online newsletters or other pay-per-click advertising mediums to position your website in front of the people most likely to become your subscribers.
Wow, that certainly turned out to be more than a few words, but I wanted to give you a little more than a dry 3 step process to follow.
I wanted to give you some poignant insight that would help you to get the most benefit for the 2 minutes you've taken out of your day to read this article.

Calendar Magnets as Gifts

There are only a few months until 2009. Do you have something small yet thoughtful to give to customers or clients? Better yet, do you have a little something for new customers? Don't wait until the count down for the new year to think up a gift that everyone can use as well as keeping your business information front and center. Magnet calendars for the 2009 year are really the answer. The business card part of the calendar keeps important contact information at their fingertips. Plus we can all use a handy calendar.

Types of Calendar

Everyone can use a calendar. One that would be good for everyone shows all the important dates for the year, including religious and political holidays. For example what day is Easter this year? These calendars show Thanksgiving, Flag Day, President's Day and Memorial Day. This magnet will help a family schedule as they plan ahead. Then as they all find times and days that need notice, your company name and information is right there to easily use. Each family will grow accustomed to using that handy calendar on the refrigerator or file cabinet.

There are also many other types of calendars that are all quality products. School calendars with special dates or high school and college sports are important. But no matter what the calendar, it will be used more than you can imagine.

Information Needed on a Calendar

To make the calendar worth your while, you'll want to have your contact information easy to see and use. There are many fonts, colors and perhaps pictures of your own to catch a customer's eye. A Guide to Effective Anti Aging Skin Care Creams

Have you ever wondered about the secrets of effective anti aging skin care? Would you like to know exactly what a quality anti aging skin cream should include to help you achieve that youthful radiance again?
Well, keep reading. There are certain ingredients you should look for and others that you should absolutely avoid.

First, let's cover some of the ingredients you should avoid.

Avoid Mineral Oil -- You certainly do not want an anti aging skin care product that clogs your pores resulting in acne or other problems. Your goal is to look good, not to look like a pimply-faced teenager.

Well then, you should avoid any product containing mineral oil. Many manufacturers use it because it's cheap, but it actually does more harm than good. Mineral oil clogs your pores, not allowing your skin to breathe or eliminate harmful toxins.

Avoid Parabens -- Here is another one you should always avoid: parabens (methyl, propyl, butyl, and ethyl). Parabens can cause nasty little rashes and allergic reactions.

Some studies even suggest parabens may cause cancer or interfere with your endocrine system. Any product containing parabens should not be part of your anti aging skin care regimen.

Avoid Collagen and Elastin as Ingredients -- Now this one may shock you. Avoid any anti aging skin cream that claims to contain collagen and elastin.

Yes, you read that correctly. Collagen and elastin are probably the most important substances for younger looking skin. However, they are totally ineffective when applied topically, because their molecules are too large for the skin to absorb. You can slather on as much as you want, but you are just wasting your money.

Instead, look for an anti aging skin cream that contains ingredients proven to stimulate the growth of collagen and elastin.

One example would be CynergyTK. Many clinical studies show that CynergyTK promotes the production of collagen and elastin, therefore diminishing your fine lines and wrinkles.

Another ingredient proven to stimulate the growth of collagen and elastin is Coenzyme Q10. Many anti aging skin care products contain this, but many do not contain a sufficient amount.

Look for variations of CoQ10 such as Nano-Lipobelle H-EQ10, which is highly effective because of its microscopic nature which can penetrate deeper.
Also, look for products that contain ingredients to boost hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is essential for skin elasticity and smoothness. Consider it the "glue" of collagen and elastin fibers. Without it, you can expect to have aged skin and even dark eye circles.
You want an ingredient that prevents the breakdown of hyaluronic acid, such as Phytessence Wakame. I know that sounds like a strange ingredient, but it has many benefits including healing irritated and dry skin and inhibiting the enzyme hyaluronidase, which is responsible for the breakdown of hyaluronic acid.
Although, I have only listed a few here, there are many more effective ingredients (as well as harmful ones). If interested in learning more, please visit my website.
Now that you know all this, you should do your research. Do not just buy an inferior anti aging skin cream just because you see it flashed all over the television and in magazines. The secret to effective anti aging skin care is to use natural ingredients that are proven effective and will not harm you.
